Neil Raden is the founder of Hired Brains, Inc., a research, advisory and consulting firm specializing in Business Intelligence, Decision Automation, Data Mining, Semantic Technology, Information Integration and Real-Time Analytics. Hired Brains has been active since 1985 across North America and Europe.
Mr. Raden is a consultant, author, speaker and industry thought leader. In the past he's been a mathematician, an actuary, a software developer, a management consultant, and a founder of a systems integration company specialized in DSS/Data Warehousing/BI.
He is a widely published writer, well-known speaker and consultant. He has personally designed dozens of data warehouses, implemented dozens of large analytical applications in finance, marketing, distribution, logistics, actuarial, scientific, statistical, consumer products and more.
His white papers and seminars for SAP, Microsoft, Oracle, Teradata, Business Objects, Microstrategy as well as many start-up technology firms are widely circulated and influential. Mr. Raden was a founding partner of the Business Intelligence Alliance, a contributor to one of the first books about data warehousing, "Planning and Designing the Data Warehouse," Prentice Hall, 1996, and co-author of the forthcoming (June 2007) “Smart (Enough) Systems.”
His articles appear in Intelligent Enterprise, DM Review, TDWI Flashpoint, Optimize, Darwin, Forbes, BI Review, Information Week and many others, with a recurrent theme of the transformative possibilities of Information Technology.
